About Eagles of Death Metal:

Eagles of Death Metal is an American rock band from Palm Desert, California, founded in 1998 by best friends Jesse Hughes and Joshua Homme. The group has included a wide range of other musicians that appear on the band’s studio albums and live shows. EODM’s current touring lineup includes the ever-present Hughes, Leah Bluestein on drums, Scott Shiflett on guitar, and Dustin Douglas on bass.

Despite their band name, Eagles of Death Metal is not a death metal band — the name is intended to be humorous. With a sound described as “bluegrass slide guitar mixed with stripper drum beats and Canned Heat vocals,” and a frontman in Hughes known for his over-the-top stage histrionics and evangelistic interaction with fans, the band’s live performances are a sight to be seen.

EODM has released four studio albums to date: Peace Love Death Metal, Death By Sexy, Heart On, and Zipper Down. The band has toured the world extensively over the past two decades, and a brand-new studio album is in the works for a worldwide release in 2025.
